Since training to become a Primary School Teacher, I have always dreamed of owning my own Nursery group. In July 2019, the dream became reality with the purchase of my first nursery, Cottontails in Burtonwood. This site was swiftly followed by the aquisition of Cottontails Pre-school at St Philips Westbrook seven months later!

Children hold a magical passion and curiosity about life, that is infectious to those around them. It is our role, as nursery practitioners, parents and family to foster their enthusiasm to support their positive development throughout the Early Years of life. With our support, guidance and love, children develop into morally strong individuals of our society, equipped with skills that will ensure they get the very best start to their academic achievements and later working lives.

The children who attend our nurseries are respected for their individuality, encouraged academically, using teaching methods that make sense to them, and their success celebrated.

Our ‘home-grown’ approach, using rustic materials and a calm, neutral setting supports successful and positive relationships where children feel free to express themselves and grow.

This supportive and nurturing environment is enhanced by a firm belief in high academic and behaviour expectancies of our children. Encouraging them to be thoughtful and reflective to establish a strong sense of ‘self’ and pride within their achievements; as an individual or as a group.

At Cottontails our children and their families are at the heart of all we do. We believe in providing quality learning experiences, through well-resourced classrooms both inside and outside. These experiences, supported by highly qualified practitioners, ensures every child within our care develops to their full potential.
